Notes

Built in 1880 by cowboy and trader Jim Lane, this two room sod house served as a trading post on the Jones and Plummer trail. As Beaver City developed, the soddy was used as a residence and frame additions were added. Currently stuccoed, the lane cabin is the oldest recorded building in the panhandle. Listed in National Register 6/5/74. (from National Register Properties in Oklahoma)
