Let’s say you’re on the road and you want to do a little site seeing. Wouldn't it be handy to have list of historic places nearby. Well, one way you can get that list is by visiting BlogOklahoma.us, but how are you going to do that from the road? Hey, here’s an idea, use your mobile phone.

To get a list of historic places in your area you will need to select the county you are in.

At this time we only have historic places listed by county. Oh important note: not all entries have any information yet. You’ll find quite a few “N/A” listed. We are still entering in information. If you find a historic marker we don’t have any information on please feel free to e-mail us or post in the forum. The iPhone and Windows Mobile versions have our e-mail address on the About BlogOklahoma.us page if you want to contact us about a missing marker.

For those of you who are lucky enough to have an iPhone. The Google Maps links will come in real handy for you. I’m real happy on how well the iPhone version turned out. It makes me really want to get one now ;-).

BlogOklahoma.us Mobile - Mobile Phone 1 You can just go to m.blogoklahoma.us if you don’t want to type in /iphone or /wm. You’ll find links to the iPhone and Windows mobile versions from there.

Over the past year I’ve been testing this out. I’ve been exclusively using the plain mobile phone version, and I’ll have to say I’ve found it very useful while traveling. It’s quite useful to find out which markers we need readings on.

I'm always looking for feedback. If there is a way I can improve on the mobile versions, please just contact us or post in the forum.
