Facebook Promote and Google+

FacebookPromote Facebook has started to ask us to “promote” our posts. This means there is a good chance you're not seeing them.

We're a hobby site doing this because we love to explore Oklahoma's rich history. We're not a business, so it makes no sense for us to pay to "promote" our simple sharing of information.

That does not mean we will stop posting to Facebook, but if we're not reaching the people who've liked us, do we really want to make the extra effort?

You may have noticed we've started posting links to our Google+ page instead of posting normally on Facebook. We're using the new Google+ platform to build a brand new community. It's a new and growing frontier in the social media space. We’re excited about it, and we hope you join us over there.

If not, don’t worry, we’ll still have a presence on Facebook, Twitter, and anywhere else we can connect with other people who like to explore Oklahoma history.
