blogoklahoma.us and exploringoklahomahistory.com

I accidently created some minor confusion between some of the volunteers yesterday when we launched. When we started the new site we had planned to have dual domains to this site, both blogoklahoma.us and exploringoklahomahistory.com.

Well as I was building things I discovered several of the 3rd party APIs we're using requires a specific domain to be registered. Since all the development was done for blogoklahoma.us. I adjusted what I was doing and just coded for the one domain. I completely forgot to post a note letting the volunteers know of the change.

I currently have Exploringoklahomahistory.com pointed to our new Tumblr blog, and I'll be revisiting this issue at a later time.

Let this be a lesson for anyone doing a collaborative project. Don't forget let the others know of any changes you make. Even if you are the one doing most of the work. O_o

As an act of contrition to the EOH volunteers I'm going to walk over to my office door and use my Stress Reduction Kit as a reminder to post a sticky note every now and then.
