Exploring Oklahoma History 1: The Abert Expedition

Welcome to the first episode of Exploring Oklahoma History.

This is a new podcast I'm developing as part of BlogOklahoma.us, a blog and historic places database dedicated to exploring Oklahoma's History. With this podcast we are going to share our experiences in searching out Oklahoma's historic monuments and places.

First off this will not be on a regular schedule. When we have something to share, that's when a new episode will be posted. But I'm going to try to do one at least once a month. I know that seems like a long time between podcast, but lets face it, its not like we are out exploring Oklahoma history every day. Most of us have day jobs.

If you are looking for something on a more regular schedule, please check out The Blog Oklahoma Podcast. It's a weekly podcast that explores the Oklahoma blog-o-sphere. You can get more information at our sister site www.blogoklahoma.com/podcast.

On Saturday, April 11th, 2009, We were on the trail to Blaine County, Oklahoma, in hopes to find the Abert Expedition historic marker.
