Oklahoma's first fire station on exhibit

Located in the Adventure District of Oklahoma City, the firefighter museum can be enjoyed by the entire family, and is close enough to the metro that you don't have to use a lot of gas. The museum manager Mike Billingsley says that there are plenty of unique pieces on display that sets this museum apart from all others.The Oklahoma Firefighter Museum is located at 2716 NE 50th in Oklahoma City, and open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
"The first fire station in Oklahoma was built in 1869 in Ft. Supply when Oklahoma was Indian territory," Billingsley said. "It was moved down here in sections and put together here in the museum."
