Tulsans Saving Meadow Gold Landmark

This from the Greater Tulsa Reporter
Randomly stacked around the shop floor of Claude Neon Federal Signs (CNF Signs), among the shiny painted metal boxes holding high-tech, state-of-the-art, computer driven electronic message center signs, are numerous very old, very large, handmade metal and porcelain letters in various stages of deterioration. Arranged correctly they spell "Meadow Gold" and they represent a Tulsa historic treasure. ...

... Because of their efforts, the Beatrice Food/Meadow Gold sign will once again occupy a place of honor along Tulsa’s Route 66 corridor. It will be located near the intersection of 11th Street and Peoria Avenue just one mile west of its original home on a site that has been donated by another generous Tulsan and owner of the property at the 11th and Peoria location. When complete the display will not only stand as a historic monument, but also a monument to Tulsa’s exemplary community spirit.
