Happy Birthday BlogOklahoma.us

Can you believe I almost missed it? BlogOklahoma.us is 1 year old today!

A few friends and I started this project as a way to learn about Oklahoma's rich history and to share what we've discovered.

The Historic Places Database has grown quite a bit in 1 year, but we still have along way to go. Our "OK did ya know?" articles have proven to be quite popular. And I'm happy to see the site grow in popularity as we get more and more visitors each week.

A special thank you to the following people for all their help.

A big thank you to Carleta for all her hard work in finding Fred and for cataloging all those sites in the Stephens county area. I'm so happy you are feeling better.

A big thank you to James for his help in starting this site. Now that he has a new camera I'm sure you will hear more from him.

A big thank you to Bobby for his work in the Tulsa area. I encourage you to visit his Tulsa Topics blog to find out what is going on in, where else, Tulsa.

A special thank you to Donna for putting up with all the times I rambled on about Oklahoma History.

And finally a very special thank you to all of you who have e-mailed us asking about sites in your area, asking how you can volunteer, or provided feedback about the site.

Without all of you there wouldn't be a BlogOklahoma.us.
