Welcome to BlogOklahoma.us

Originally started on July 25, 2003, as a web ring for Oklahoma bloggers, Blog Oklahoma grew into a diverse and interesting community.

Soon it was time to spin things off and start a new blog about Oklahoma. Thus BlogOklahoma.us was born on May 18, 2005. This new blog will focus on traveling around the state to see what there is to see.

Be sure to check out the new Historic Places section. This is where we visit (or at least try to) all the historical markers in the state.

For more information about the Blog Oklahoma web ring, head over to www.blogoklahoma.com.

Blog Oklahoma If you are someone who blogs in or about Oklahoma, then you already qualify for web ring membership. Just click on Join Web Ring, read the rules and guidelines, and fill out the membership form. As soon as the ring manager sees the ring code on your blog, your ring membership will be activated.

This is the first post for the new BlogOklahoma.us site. If you have any comments or questions about this new look, please feel free to e-mail me. You will find contact information on the right side of this page.

Oklahoma Historical Marker SignOklahoma Historical Society (www.ok-history.mus.ok.us) provides a list on their web site of all the historic markers in Oklahoma. However this list only contains the name of the marker and which county it is in. We have used this list (as of 02/16/05) to seed the BlogOklahoma.us Historic Places Database. If you would like a copy of our seed list, here they are in various formats:
