Rush Springs Watermelon Festival

Rush Springs is called the "Watermelon Capitol of the World".
Rush Springs, Oklahoma has a Watermelon Festival each year on the second Saturday of August. Many farmers who live in the area grow watermelons and sell them during this time. The festival crowns a Watermelon queen and there are rides and exhibits.
The Rush Springs Watermelon Festival has been held continuously since 1948.
