About The Historic Places Database
A Work In Progress...

This database is provided to help you explore the great state of Oklahoma.

The BlogOklahoma.us Historic Places Database is an on going project started on May 19, 2005. The information provided in the Historic Places Database was entered in by volunteers who visited or did research about each location. Some historic places may not have any information yet or even be listed. Though we strive for accuracy, some information could be incorrect.

If you have any comments, questions, corrections, or additions you can contact BlogOklahoma.us through the Connect page.

The Oklahoma Historical Society (www.ok-history.mus.ok.us) provides a list on their web site of all the historic markers in Oklahoma. However this list only contains the name of the marker and which county it is in. We have used this list (as of 02/16/05) to seed the BlogOklahoma.us Historic Places Database. (If you would like a copy of our seed list, visit here.)

BlogOklahoma.us is a labor of love for the great state of Oklahoma.
